We went to Kutna Hora on the off chance and we are really happy that we went. It is a very eerie place that is full of bones that are quite old, it is one of those places that you can go back home and tell all of your friends about it, as it is something that you normally do... More

We had heard different stories about the Bone Church in Kutna Hora. Really amazing how bones from 40000 people could be arranged in such an artistic way....even a central chandelier ...a bit eerie and the church was not as big as I imagined but worth the visit. We caught the train from Prague and then a taxi 100crowns to the... More

If you are into interesting history, the Sedlac Ossuary, down the hill from Kutna Hora proper, is a great place to go! We spent 3 days in Kutna Hora during our 2 week vacation in Prague and the bone church (Ossuary) was one of the coolest things we saw. From Kutna Hora town centre the Ossuary is a 3 minute... More

Eerie, but a must-see on your day trip to Kutna Hora! You'd wonder why this project proposed by the wood carver was approved by the Schwarzenbergs. :) don't expect much though. Ceiling isn't high and there's only one level to see inside.

Its amazing how the ancient people actually use bones to decorate the church. kinda creepy and scary thought. But it's actually worth a visit to see something out of the norm. Glad i wasn't living in that period of time. The compound is rather small, and you would be done in 30 mins or less. To get to Ossuary from... More

I thought this was an amazing church. Some of my fellow travelers found it too eerie but I did not feel that way. I would definitely recommend it. I also loved the outside of the church and the cemetery. It is not in Kutna Hora though, it's in Sedlec.

I'll quickly agree with all the other reviews. This place is wonderfully creepy and definitely worth visiting. It is not, however, in Kutna Hora. It's several miles out of town. Dont punch Kutna Hora into your GPS and assume that you'll stumble onto it. Dont get me wrong...It was my fault entirely, but I'd strongly recomment paying attention to the... More

Very different and the only worthwhile reason for visiting the rather boring Kutna Hora area. Unfortunately we went by train on a rather wet day. Kutna Hora was forgettable, poorly signposted and the guy in the tourist info completely unhelpful. after getting lost and then trying to get onto several different buses we finally made it to see the bones.... I found this church to be fascinating. How a person feels about this church and if it's worth going to see is completely a matter of taste. I am glad I saw it, but I also enjoy going to older cemeteries in general.
