This is a lovely place to walk around with a variety of areas in its woodland, unfortunately we visited in mid April and a lot of the trees hadn't come into leaf properly so it didn't seem as spectacular as it would look. Groombridge village itself the roads get quite narrow coming down to the entrance to Groombridge place which... More

I have been here so many times and even remember it from when I was a child! It's still "enchanting" and exciting although i agree with the other reviews; it does need updating. Granted, they have added a new play area which is great but some of the trails and walks need just a touch of maintance. The bird talk... More

We very nearly didnt visit groombridge place today, after toying with the idea for a while i checked out the reviews on tripadvisor, which gave me doubts. Not one to take a critics word, i threw caution to the wind and went anyway, and im very glad we did. Run down and shabby is the general view by many on... More

Set in a stunning location and no doubt the grounds were too at some point. However, the whole place is looking pretty tired. Gardens were our main draw but unfortunately they were a bit disappointing - not a lot to see and many weeds. Enchanted forest was no doubt fun for kids but several closed areas and far too much... A beautiful place and lovely gardens- the Enchanted Forest is great, especially for families however the overall experience was let down by the 'front of house'. Toilets were unclean and smelly. The restaurant / cafe was very untidy with lots of dirty tables, hardly any staff and few items available to buy. The shop was also poor with hardly any... More

Much of what I have to briefly say here has been said before. I visited here recently with my fiancee after a trip on the Spa Valley Railway from Tunbridge Wells. The first thing to say is there needs to be better signage, particularly from the railway station. We missed the entrance to the advertised footpath and walked quite a... More

We had a fun day here but thought that it was expensive. We paid over £25 for 2 adults and one child, for that price I would expect a years pass (like you get at Leeds Castle and Howletts Zoo). Also, I feel that at that price there should be a house to look round as well but there is... More

Went with my 5 year old god-daughter and her dad. Due to rain the day before, we found it very muddy but it is the woods afterall! God-daughter loved the peacock and "peahead" as she called the female and she also had a chat with the turkeys. Food in the restaurant was basic. Following on from what other people say,... More

This is like a cross between a National Trust property and an adventure playground. The setting is very attractive, and the "Enchanted Forest" will keep most kids happy for an hour or so - although it is, in truth, a bit run-down. The catering arrangements could politely be described as basic, and the best options for visitors might be to... More
