Really good to see this in place and adds to the things to se and do whilst in Albany. Worth a visit to get the feel of what a hell hole these small ships that traveled the world and took years to complete were like.
We all, old and young enjoyed this. Being able to go below deck was a surprise, and a welcome one. They also have a personalized commentary that you can list to if you like
Thanks for the good words. We have just started up a Facebook page and was wondering if your comment could be shared?

Enjoyed hearing the recorded history for a small charge. Very central position near the end of York Street.
We stopped at the Brig Amity after a day out at Whaleworld.
$10 for a family pass which was pretty reasonable, this includes an audio commentary through handheld speakers that change as you reach certain points around the ship.
The kids enjoyed the Amity, you get to climb down 3 levels on the ship and get an insight into the...

Very worthwhile visit to the Brig Amity. Climb aboard and pay the small entry fee and you are given a handset with recorded commentary for a self tour of the ship. Head below deck to try to imagine what it must have been like for the 60 or so male convicts crammed into the space. Plenty of other interesting facts...

Only $10 for a family and a great audio guide, you can access all parts of the ship and get a sense of what life would have been like for the early settlers. The kids loved it, so did my husband! If you are a Patrick O'Brian fan this is for you!
We would have loved it if there was...

the kids love climbing around on the boat and playing with everything. The handhelp information was good too. Its not something you can spend ages going, but for something short it was a good thing to do.
My children loved exploring the Brigg Amity. It would have been great if we could of had a guided tour.
Great place to visit; some interesting information and it is great you can wander all through the ship and see what life was like for people travelling on them. Still some room for improvements.
