I saw a countless number of Little Penguins come ashore (binoculars helpful) and walk right past our viewing area (no binoculars needed). We had access to the Premium Plus viewing area. It was an impressive sighting but be forewarned - NO photos allowed. The information center, where photos are allowed, was really interesting. Bring your own food - the food... More

Penguine parade is undoubtedly the major attraction of Philip Island. No trip to Philip Island is complete without watching the penguin parade. It's an amazing experience. I loved to see these small penguins swimming in high waves to reach the shore and then forming a group to track up the hill. You will see the penguins as near as half... More

When the night falls, these little fairy penguins start to swim onshore. The massive number of them swimming onto the shore forms a spectacular scene. These little penguins just seem to ignore the presence of human looking at them and start to search for their burrow. It was a great experience and it is worth braving the cold wind on... More

when purchased in a three day pass it is value for money. try and sit at the edges of the seating especially if you have small children to see a good number of penguins. though the best part is towards the end walking along side them up the board walk.

We upgraded to the Penguin Plus - it was well worth the extra we paid. A ranger talked to us about the penguins before they started to come ashore and we were able to see them up close and follow them as they made their way to their nests.

The Penguin Parade on Phillip Island was an amazing experience in spite of visiting on one of the busiest night of the year (long weekend!) When I rang up to book tickets 2 days before the visit, I was dismayed to find that Penguins Plus - the experience recommended on Trip Advisor - was booked out. The Guided Ranger tour... More

We visited in late May, on a Friday night. We were surprised that we were able to park very near the entrance. It was not busy at all. There was lots of people still, but there was no problems getting right to the front to see the penguins waddle up the beach. We also saw many, many of them up... More

I had great initial expectation of this place; having heard from my friends that this is the place to visit at Melbourne. Overall, I found the penguin coming up shore a little cute but other than that, there was not really impressive about this attraction. We weren't allowed to take photos of the penguin. A point that got me quite... More

Absolutely excellent experience watching the penguins make a bolt for the relative protection of the undergrowth after coming up from the sea. We were seated about 3 hours before, so bring blankets, but it's a nice spot to contemplate the sunset.

The anticipation for the penguins arrival in bated breath truly adds to the experience. The squealing delight when the penguins arrive both adults and children is an experience no money can buy to recreate. The penguins almost seem to have an intrinsic instinct to put on a show for their audience. There is no short of drama (penguin fights), the... More
