We were disappointed to only see two penguins in there boroughs and non coming ashore. We understand that these are wild animals and that the NZ Sea Lions are feeding on them. Our group was split into 2 - the other guide was much more informative.

To go out at night with these guys is fantastic they really care about the wildlife and want to pass there love of them onto you. it is well worth the money and the staff are very helpful

This is not Antarctica, so don't except a million penguins. It's a very small attraction, with a few birds that are only seen at night. We went along for the evening tour of the Little Penguin Colony. This also includes star viewing but it was cloudy when we were there. The team is highly engaged and trying their very best to inform the guests well. Overall, it is not soo impressive, since you only see the penguins in the dark (unlike South Africa, Argentina or N.Z.), so therefore only 4 stars. Anyway, 40 Dollars for a family of 4 is OK and our kids found it very exciting.

Unprofessional guide only exceeded by her lack of knowledge of the subject. A real amateur hour. Save your money.
