I have to recommend the Slingair 2 hour 9 am flight over Lake Argyle, Bungle Bungles and Argyle diamond mine as a must for visitors to Kununurra. While it is suggested you can drive and camp at the Bungle Bungles and take walking tracks, this exposes you to a very small section of the expanse known as the Bungle Bungles.... More

Our family of 5 (2 adults 3 kids) walked into Mitchell Falls from the camp ground and had the helicopter pick us up in the afternoon it was great and the kids were so surprised!. We had two kids who were able to share a seat (and therefore cost) so for the five of us it was just over $400.... More

I went on the Slingair PLANE tour "c" of Lake Argyle, the Bungle Bungles, and Argyle Diamond Mine. I chose the 6am departure as I thought it would give better light for photos and cooler temps -- I was right on both fronts. The pilot gave a great tour, the scenery was spectacular, and I still had the entire day... More

If you take a flight at 2500 feet over the Bungle Bungles arriving at 11.00 when the sun is high don't expect them to look as spectacular as they do in the "Come to Australia" adverts. I had to sit next to the pilot cramped in a seat pulled right forward to accommodate other passengers who joined at El Questro.... More

The light is quite harsh in the middle of the day in the Kimberley, so if you can, take a flight in the morining or afternoon. We do offer flights in the middle of the day in our peak season to try and accommodate as many visitors as possible. I recommend that people book their scenic flight prior to arrival to... More

Well... one thing i can suggest is to NOT EAT or have a big night the night before this flight. We were on a 12 seater caravan plane and were all sick. They do a weigh in at the begining to make sure they even out the plane correctly. The views from above are breathtaking.... Looking at the way the... More

My father and I flew out to the Bungles. I suppose one always gets a little nervous about light aircraft flying in remote locations, however you shouldn't with Slingair. The pilot was excellent, good safety briefings, excellent airmanship and great local knowledge / commentary. We flew to the Bungles, spent a couple of hours on the ground there with a... More

Took a 30 minute trip over the Bungle Bungles. Wonderful vista and very informative pilot. Be warned that there are no doors on the helicopter. Great for photos but a bit scary for people afraid of heights! (Me!) More

Our Bungles tour was the best day of our holiday for me. We booked a tour through East Kimberley Tours that had us picked up at an alarming 5am for a flight to the Bungles followed by walking tours of Echnida Chasm, Picaninny Creek and Cathedral Gorge. We flew back early evening and landed at the minute of last light... More
