On the recommendation of Tourist Information Centre went on the Glenorchy Wilderness Tour. Of all the tours we did in NZ (which were many and varied) this was by far the most expensive. Content was not particularly exciting, could have done most of it in the car. Very disappointing and extemely poor value for money.

Great off-road adventure with a fun guide (great jokes!). We had a lovely trip up into Skippers Canyon on a great weather day - lots of information on the gold mining history with stories from a local that seemed to know the place inside out. Tasty home made pikelets were a nice surprise too.
