We had a great afternoon from Arrowtown to Macetown. The whole experience was fun and was full of interesting things to hear, see and do, not to mention the stunning, stunning scenery! A trip for everyone, this tour was well worth the money! We thought we would Walk or Cycle to Macetown on this road. We must have been crazy!...

Adin's knowledge of Arrowtown & surrounds along with his personable manner (sense of humour) is what this experience is all about. We enjoyed 32 river crossings and a rather THRILLING drive to historic Mace Town. We learnt so much about the area's history that we would not have experienced with a larger tour. Had a great time with 4WD Southern Explorer. Adin was very personable, and shared many stories about the area. The SUV was spotless and very comfortable. I would highly recommend 4WD Southern Explorer to see all the beauful sights New Zealand has to offer!

We were in a large group and were keen for a day trip to Macetown, which requires a 4WD to access. These guys are highly experienced drivers, very professional, and have a great deal of knowledge about the area's history. They also know the best spots for gold panning and a few flecks were found. Roads in Skippers Canyon are not for the faint-hearted!! Sheer drops at every turn along gravel roads. The scenery was amazing. We set off in light rain but our guide (and chef!), Adin assured us that it would change - and it did! Several stops to take in the views - nearly filled the camera's memory card! Adin was both...
