This was an interesting little museum, well laid out and reflecting local industry and everyday life in the area. There were lots of quirky exhibits. The main focus was whitebait fishing! The gentleman on the desk was very helpful and there was a little shop. Worth an hour or so.

We were lucky the whitebait exhibition was extended through to April so we were able to see it.
The rest of the museum is very well set out and gave balanced social, industrial, and transport history in an informative, entertaining and interesting manner.

I really loved looking around the museum on a rainy day. I loved the tinned whitebait display and came away with xmas pressies for all from the gift shop...including fake tinned whitebait with 'real" labels.

We were staying in the b&b directly opposite the museum. It was showing the history of white-bait fishing when we visited, which we thought was quite interesting. Other than that, this is about the only place worth going to understand abit more about the place.
