We chose these falls to stop and have a picnic lunch while driving up to Paihia. The car park and picnoic ground is at the top of the falls. To go to the base there is a walk. Not a difficult walk but there are a few steps. There is a toilet block and picnic tables at the top. A... More

Take the time to walk down to the bottom of the falls - take your camera. More

The waterfall itself is spectacular, but it's the short walk through native bush that really makes it. It only takes about 15 mniutes to do the entire loop but its worth spedning time at the bottom, sitting on the picnic table in the mist from the falls. Nice for a short stop but make sure your car is securely locked.... More

Easy access from the car park and a superb falls with a river walk which takes about an hour and half one way but its superb and worth the effort. Highly reccommend this attraction. More

Just a few steps from the car park. You can see the falls from both sides, and if there is a lot of water in the river - wow More

this is a absolutely wonderful place to visit... lovely little bush walk and lovely waterfall.... but dont leave anything of value in your car/vehicle as they often get broken into as it is a well known tourist spot. This does link up to a longer walk if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. right on... More

There's a nice walk around the falls, not suitable for wet weather though as track gets muddy. I've walked the track a few times - it's not strenuous and is very relaxing to walk among nature. More

We'd been camping nearby and scuba diving at Poor Knights Island, this was a close and easy walk. Beautiful trees, a well-maintained path and the falls are stunning. A pleasant walk in a truly lovely place. Highly recommended. More

Ideally you need to walk down to the bottom of the falls to take in the big picture. It takes about 10 mins to get to the bottom of the falls via a reasonable path and steps. About 15 minutes return. Carpark and toilets adjacent. We take our grandkids there in school holiday then along the road to Adventure Forest... More

We made the round route around the falls with our 3 young kids and enjoyed the route and the view on the fall from different perspectives We were very impressed by the local volunteers that arrange the parking, clean, provide sun protection cream and prevent car theft (which we understood were serious problem in the site) More
