When we asked for directions to a few wineries where we could eat etc we was told only minor directions and the assumption was we already new where we were going which for tourists or people who have no knowledge of the area it was disappointing

In addition to the usual maps and stuff, the staff was great in recommending things to see/do in the area and in helping us find/book a wine tour.
This centre was a stone throws distance from our town house in Tunbridge Street. Free maps of the MArgaret river region upto Augusta is available. Heaps of information leaflets and wonderful staff man the centre. Day tours can be arranged from here.Parking available near the IGA a short stroll from the Centre.

loved the area, visited the caves at Magaret River and a few wineries. Well worth a trip to south Western Australia.

Very friendly and helpful, centrally located, excellent maps and souvenirs and knowledgable staff,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Lots of local information - mainly as promotional information for surrounding accommodation and attractions. The real value is in the local detailed knowledge of the staff, who can suggest venues based on your personal preferences and itinerary. A great way to start a visit to the region - plenty of free maps to guide you. There is an associated guide...
