I attended the night time Sound & Light show with my wife. We had dinner at the restaurant before the show (recommended) and then enjoyed the presentation very much. Very informative and entertaining. Suitable for people of all ages so certainly bring the kids. Good value for money for the show and dinner and if you do dine at the... More

Thank you for your comments. The colder months are a great time to visit. Our open fires and home made soup and scones are a great way to warm up the belly. There are lots of special offers currently in the region. look up "free to escape" in any search engine to see some great deals. More

Was very impressed with the historical context and layout of the site. Brought alive the local history, in such a way that it was easy to explain to young children, how early settlers lived and worked. More

The sound and light show is worth a visit. Great way to hear the amazing stories of the Shipwreck Coast. The village is well set out and quite interesting for the whole family. Kids can explore safely. More

We found the show to be way below our expectations and a waste of time and money. We wanted to do the walk but I booked too late and there were only 3 walking spaces left and 4 of us and despite my request were unable to fit the extra person in (our daughters are aged 12 and 15). We... More

Thank you for your report and I am sorry you were disappointed. The Peacock you mention in the show is of course the Loch Ard Peacock, Australia's most valuable shipwreck artefact and central to our maritime collection. The Shipwreck Show tells the story of the 1878 wreck of Loch Ard, our regions most famous wreck and one of Australia's most... More

The Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village displays shops and buildings reminiscent of the 1870's. As it is located on the shipwreck coast, the included museum concentrates on the many ships that were lost along the coast. The nightly evening lantern walk and laser show details one of the ships. Good giftshop and approx 1 hours drive from the Twelve Apostles More

Entry price is amazing - $39 for a family, which in view of the price of similar history parks like Sovereign Hill, is an absolute bargain. This IS a much smaller park than Sovereign Hill, clearly focusing on maritime history, but it was a nice change from all the gold rush history that we get here in Victoria. Most buildings... More

Thank you for your review. We are very glad you enjoyed your experience at Flagstaff Hill, and our lovely tearooms that provide lovely old style food. In winter it is a real treat to sit in front of the open fire and enjoy those soups and dampers. I am sorry you missed our Shipwrecked Sound and Laser Show. It is... More

Flagstaff Hill by day takes you back to what it was like to live in the 1800's with its wonderful cobble streetscape, a ship on a lake and lighthouse which overlooks Warrnambool. The Museum section was extremely interesting and the Loch Ard Peacock (a beautiful statue) from the shipwreck Loch Ard is notably Australia's most valuable shipwreck relic displayed in... More

Thank you for wonderful review and we are so glad you enjoyed your experience with us. Our region has such a rich heritage and we work hard to present it in a way that is engaging and encouraged you to explore the Shipwreck Discovery Trail along the great ocean road. Thank you for your comments. More

A nice way to spend an evening - but a tad overpriced. More could have been made about the night time village walk. Interesting, but could have cut 10mins off the end. Probably more appropriate for children that two adults. More
