Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The museum houses a heap of derelict (and creepy) mannequins — perhaps the most complete collection of derelict mannequins in the entire Southern Grampians region — cracking out in costume, for your pleasure.

Some are more headless than others.

What an amazing museum! The history of Ansett from the first flight from Hamilton. This is an excellent draw card for the Hamilton community. All credit to Heather who hosted us.
The only negative was the disability access which was altered by the Council and is not practical.

A fantastic collection of Ansett memorabilia on display . The volunteers who staff it are friendly and do a great job . As an ex employee of this once great airline I was amazed at the quality and quantity of the collection

Lots of artefacts from the days of Ansett Airlines. A plane, bus and vintage car are the big exhibits. Flight Attendant Uniforms, ephemera and a model of every plane flown are just some highlights. Rather sanitised of Sir Reg.

So glad we came here. Whilst not large in area, it is very comprehensive in terms of memorabilia and the rise and downfall of an airline I grew up with. Staffed by volunteers who are friendly and informative. There was so much here, you could spend quite some time. The film shown was interesting in a small cinema lined with attendants uniforms through the years.

A must see for anyone in hamilton. The story of Reg Ansett is told in the original hanger .The museum is Situated on Ballarat rd adjacent to Lake hamilton. The centrepiece , whilst not the actual plane is similiar to the one which started Ansett airlines. Compared to the planes of the era it was the size of a Jumbo jet.Plenty of memorabilia to browze . Plenty of parking available.

Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. There is an interesting video about Sir Reginald Ansett's background and his vision to create an airline. On display are uniforms from across all eras of the airline's history and the very first Ansett plane as well as all sorts of Ansett memorabilia. It was also interesting to read the staff messages at the company's demise. Some had worked for Ansett for many, many years and obviously held the company in high regard.
