Family of four went for the 2.5 hour, 85 metre underground old mining experience. We were blessed with a small tour group and a friendly, experienced tour host. Tour had an excellent balance of experience, interest and we feel was value for money. We finished the tour and wished we had opted for the 4.5 hour tour such was the... More

V interesting and worthwhile experience to visit the central Deborah mine. We went 61m underground which is the shallowest of all experiences but was still very worthwhile. Our guide was funny knowledgeable and made us all feel v safe. Def must do. More

I would suggest this tour to anyone, it was very interesting and at times a little scarey climbing down the ladders. Great value and the tour guide knew his stuff, thanks John :) More

I went with my family (4 adult + 2 children) and taken mining experience tour. My entire family enjoyed this mining tour. Mr.John was guided us and he was very friendly and explained everything clearly. We bought the combined ticket i.e family ticket $100 for mining and tram. Pro: Friendly staffs, well maintained inside mining, provided helmets with lights for... More

Friendly staff. Thought it might be a bit scary but well worth the time . We were properly equipped with helmets and lights and our guide was very knowledgeable . It was dark and wet and surprisingly cold. We only wnet down to the second level --could have gone deeper but didn't have the time. Very interesting and surprisingly enjoyable.... More

The mine has 2 tours; a 75 minute tour to "level 2" and a 2.5 hour tour to "level 3." We chose the 2.5 hour tour; $85AU; includes a "Cornish" lunch. We were the only 2 on the tour and felt that it was certainly worth it. You dress in overalls, boots, miner's hat w/lamp (worn over your own clothes)... More

We did the 75 minute tour to level 2 of the mine and found it really interesting. The guides were funny and well informed, and really gave an insight as to how it would have been for the miners working down there every day. More

We visited through the April school holidays. It was very cold above the ground, actually warmer underground. The above ground area was quite small and we did that quite quickly. The mine tour though was excellent and we enjoyed our guides interaction with her group. Kids were really interested in the underground world and putting on the helmet was a... More
