Took the opportunity in visiting this museum when passing through Bendigo. This is a well presented exhibit which covers the Chinese contributions to the area commencing from the gold rush era. All the exhibits are well notes and there are many photographs depicting Bendigo in its early years. Chinese period furniture is also on display in abundance. All in all... More

What a pleasant surprise. This very peaceful but very interesting museum depicts the lifestyle and culture of Chinese people who came to live in Bendigo in the height of the Gold Rush - many of whom stayed on and made Bendigo their home making great contributions to the city and to Australia. Interesting piece of history, children a bit disappointed that they could not see the dragons more closely. Ponds in garden disappointing with green algae problem not helping. More

This museum well worth a visit and can occupy you for a few hours. As well as a display of the Dragons used in street processions over the years there are displays detailing the history of the Chinese in Australia, especially during the gold rush days. Beautifully well presented placed which talks about Bendigo Chinese history as well as there beautiful dragons. There is also a fantastic well kept gardens with beautiful large fish to feed. More

Above average museum. Restaurent very expensive especially monthly yum cha ($132 for three persons with two soft drinks as byo. Entree plates between $8.50 - $16) More

If you like museum then you can visit this place. I went with my son and he enjoyed to view the Dragons, warriors statues and all other ancient stuffs. More

This excellent museum has many treasures including both the longest and the oldest dragons. Its a shame the gardens are a bit worse for wear. More

A beautiful museum highlighting the Chinese heritage in Bendigo, unbelievable costumes and the Dragon has to be seen to be believed! A great place to visit! More
