This is a good tour to take just to get an overview of the town. It was rainy on the day we visted so we didn't want to get out at the park at the end of the tram.

The trip to the joss house was a lot longer than I thought and gave a great tour of the lovely houses of Bendigo. A pity it doesn't cover the whole city anymore.

Although we enjoyed the tram rides, the tram depot tour was well worth doing. With it run by people interested in all things tram, you really do get engrosed in the information passed on!

My wife and myself have just just enjoyed the talking trams of Bendigo for the 3rd time over the last 12 years or so. It gives a great overview of Bendigo with the excellent on board commentry. It is not overexpensive and the ticket can be used on a 24 hour basis so maybe doing the trip the next day...

Talking tram was a very good intro to Bendigo and it's history. I was probably lucky, there was an X-tra man on the tram(driver female) and he gave us lots of information in addition. Beautiful + charming tram - don't think you will get anywhere quickly though! It's for the ride + experience, very nice.

We went back to Bendigo on the weekend and decided to take a Vintage Talking Tram ride. We started the one hour tour from the Central Deborah Gold Mine to take advantage of the free parking and easy access. The tram ambles through beautiful Bendigo and has a talking commentary which covers a general overview of Bendigo and it's history....

The tram is a great way to quickly get at quick view of Bendigo main street and lake. It costs a bit which I feel is a bit overboard for what you get but it is a tourist attraction.
