Visited in April 2012, just remembered to write it up. Captivating sound and light show re-telling a key moment in Australian history.

Adults will love it, younger children perhaps not so much as they get lost in the story. Overall though it was fantastic to see and lived up to the reviews. The set is brilliant! Take warm clothes though, as it gets a bit chilly sitting out in the open, although you are under cover for nearly all the show. Recommended.
An excellent way of learning about Victorian history. Very well done and the museum and film before the show are also very good. Seat yourself near the doors at the front so that you get out and can then get a good seat on the people movers that take you to the actual site. Sit in the first few rows...

Show was well present and most enjoyable. Would recommend but not the dinner beforehand. This was of poor quality would have been beter going to Red Rooster. Could be improved.
Really good show and excellent production. I found it very interesting as I am not from Australia and knew nothing about the history of the area. Very interesting.

Well worth doing - we each need to be reminded of the History of our Country and the conditions of what our early Settlers went through to Mine Gold.
Don't go to Sovereign Hill without visiting this world class attraction. Rug up and marvel at this light and sound show where you are transported to the minefields at the time of the Eureka stockade. Suitable for all ages.
Very informative and interesting. A very graphic account of the Eureka Stackade. The people mover vehicles were exceptional for getting the large number of attendees around the grounds. The dinner before the show was good.
If you are in Ballarat a visit to the blood on the Southern cross is a must. It is a very entertaining and spectacular 90 minute story of history, by sight and sound with fantastic visual effects in a very realistic atmosphere. It is suitable for everyone to enjoy. A perfect conclusion to a day spent visiting sovereign hill.
