We had a nice time here and we tried a fair few wines. The Reislings were very nice. The vineyard is in a pretty area (I preferred it to the Tamar Valley) and after a very well presented tasting we had a coffee and that was lovely as well. Nice setting. More

Josef Chromy does cellar door well. The restaurant is situated high on the property overlooking vines and a parklike garden with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The food is great, lots of choice, plenty of local fare and priced accordingly. The food and wine compliment each other well, and the service is quick and responsive to need. Definitely a... More

We went there with a group of 30 and I think they did a good job with that size group. Food was very good and the wine was lovely. Just very expensive. More

Drink josef chromy wine all the time and love it but found the staff in cellar door totally un interested in serving us to much trouble to break away from their own private conversations. More

Having tried a Josef Chromy wine in Stanley, we decided to drop in and check out the cellar door in Launceston. Only a quick drive out of Launceston, Josef Chromy is easy to find and has beautiful gardens, buildings and a lake. Aside from the cellar door, there is also a restaurant on site. Tastings were free, and we were... More

Lovely setting, good food, excellent wine. Nothing really to dislike except location means at least one person has to forgo wine and drive. More

This was the first winery we visited on our wine tour and was an amazing start. The main building are beautiful, the cafe had a great atmosphere which carried on through to the staff who were very chatty to guest and each other. The staff were very helpful and informative. The wine was delicious especially the ZDAR range. We loved... More

I started and finished my wine tasting trip at Josef Chromy. Only around 10 minutes from the Launceston Airport and arriving 15 mins before they closed the staff could not be more welcoming and the wines are superb! and well priced compared to many of the other Tamar Valley wineries. We were so impressed we went back for a full... More
