If you are fit, you can walk to this memorial from the city centre or you can take a car. You can get a great view of Dean Street and central Albury from the Monument. There are few more lookouts over Albury but some of them are blocked by trees.
The memorial itself needs some long overdue maintenance.

You have a chose of driving, walking or; they do have an annual event of the Monument Hill Run beginning from the main street of Albury to the Monument - lots of steps. Once to the top it is a spectacular view of the cities of Albury/Wodonga. A must do if visiting the area.
