Enjoy spectacular scenery, fascinating local history and more importantly taste some great wines. Tours depart daily from Queenstown all year round. Join your wine guide on a relaxed, personalised tour and visit a selection of boutique wineries. We keep our tours small and travelling time to a minimum, so there is plenty of time for you to sample fine wine, food and local cheeses whilst interacting with winery personnel. Complimentary pick up and drop off from accommodation or central Queenstown. For those who prefer the exclusivity of a private guide and vehicle, we offer three private tours exploring the wine areas of Gibbston Valley and Bannockburn. If you are keen to get on the water or in the air, we offer daily Helicopter or Jet Boat combos. Or if you prefer the ultimate relaxation package, try our spa and wine experience. « less

We did a combined package of helicopter flight, lunch and wine tour. The helicopter dropped us off at a small park beside the bus where we were met by the Wine Trail. We then did the first wine tasting followed by lunch, then 3 other wineries. The extra tasting at lunch was great. The driver was very knowledgeable about the... More

I would highly recommend Queenstown Wine Trail. We were picked up and dropped off next door to our accommodation by Lance which was great (especially since we bought some beautiful wines along the way). Lance is a local and knows a lot about the area and it's history. He is a great tour guide, very friendly and funny. The wineries we... More

My wife and I experienced this wine tour and there is nothing like it. The wine was incredible, the wineries themselves were very nice and located in such a beautiful part of Queenstown. And there is no shortage of wine. We went to 4 different wineries, had lunch, drank wine in a natural cave and sat on a side of... More

We did the Original Wine trail tour from Queenstown in April 2013. The price didn't include lunch and with a pick-up time of 12.30 we were uncertain whether to eat or not before the tour. The first stop we were left waiting about 3/4 of an hour before continuing to the next winery. At the next winery we also had... More

Obviously the Queenstown Wine Trail team are very disappointed to hear of your negative experience on our tour. I have taken on board you did not receive the tour information clear and concisely in regards to the winery lunch, which you do have time to enjoy at your own cost .Tour inclusions are now repeated on booking a tour with... We were very lucky and picked a quiet time of year to go on the tour, so were fortunate enough that there was only the two of us and Lance the owner. Lance was very knowledgable and the tour was great. The guy at mount rosa was a real character. We also visited Gibbston valley, peregrine and amisfield wineries. The... More

This was an awesome trip- easy going and very informative too. The day was perfect for it and we visited 4 different wineries all of which were very different but all stunning. Our guide John let us go at our on pace and was willing to help out if we needed it- very knowledgable and friendly. I was surprised how... More

We were concerned about being the youngest on our tour but it was perfectly executed that it didn't matter! John our guide was knowledgeable and funny and was a great day all round!

Our booking was efficiently made via email and confirmed through their secure website. We were pleased that they could agree to our request to include Peregrine Wines, an impressive ultramodern winery not far of town, which is one of our favourites. They collected us from our hotel and the only blot on their copybook was that the bus had not... More

You can tell that there is a "but" there, can't you? We thoroughly enjoyed the efforts of the Queenstown Wine Trail people and have to be careful that we don't let the wine tasting interfere with rating the wine tour. The guide was knowledgeable and entertaining, picking us up on time and keeping us moving in order to expose us... More

We are delighted that you enjoyed the tour of our local wineries but disappointed that you did not enjoy our local Pinot's which so many of our visitors delight in. Queenstown Wine Trail is welcomed at all 7 of the Gibbston Valley Cellar Doors which we take great pride in showcasing. Our Original Wine tour visits 4 wineries of which... More
