It was certainly a fascinating day out and I was glad to know that amongst the madness in Queenstown is a little sanctuary for New Zealand and its' wildlife. Great job!!

Ignore the apparent high admission price this place is fantastic and relies on admission fees to continue their valuable conservation work. Learn something new and do something good for nature.
As bird parks go it is not very big - we spent about an hour and a half there including the Kiwi feeding and Conservation show. However, if you are desperate to see the Kiwi, Kea and Morepork as we were then really this is one of the few places to do so. Also the admission fare goes towards their...

We wandered into the Kiwi Birdlife Park almost by accident while waiting for our son, who was off bungy jumping. It is a fairly small park, so we weren't expecting much, but it turned out to be one of the highlights of our NZ trip. We were thrilled to see Kiwis and other NZ birds and to learn about efforts...

Very nice place to spend a couple of hours and to get to know more about NZ wildlife. It's well worth the money and time. And of course the Kiwis are a must see..they are such interesting and funny creatures.
Kiwi are interesting and funny birds! All of the work we do to conserve kiwi and all of our native species is funded by visitors and sponsorship so thanks for taking the time to visit us, and for the great review!

We got to see a kiwi, which was the important bit. The audio tour was actually interesting as well. There was plenty of birds to see. The demonstrations were also interesting.
The price is a bit steep, but since it's going to a good cause, I couldn't complain too much.
They allow same day re-entry, so teaming this with the...

Originally I walked out of this place because it seemed expensive for a couple boxed up kiwis. But it's not that - it's actually a great conservation oriented bird park, and worth the price. Beautiful campus and the audio guide is helpful and easy, allowing you to look around at birds instead of reading placards. Def catch the kiwi feeding...

Thanks for the amazing review. We do rely on word of mouth for our advertising and trip advisor is a great advertising tool for us. As we are completely funded by visitors, the more people that hear about us and visit us, the more we can do for conservation. Kia ora!

We spent a couple of hours here in early May and was very glad we did. You get to see a number of endangered species of New Zealand birds. The Kiwi feeding and the bird show are well worth going to and are very informative without being boring. The place is doing excellent work with the breeding programmes it is...

The self guided tour is interesting and informational. Plan your trip to be there during one of the kiwi feeding times and the conservation show. You get up close to some of the beautiful animals. And watch your belongs in the kea enclosure! Wear warm clothes if you visit during the colder months.
Great advice for the kea enclosure!! Kea are neophilic which means they love anything new in their environment. Being a walk-through enclosure these beautiful and very curious birds get to see all sorts of shiny new toys being brought in to their enclosure everyday like cameras and bags!! Thanks for visiting us and supporting our work to conserve our native...

Only place to see a Kiwi and Tuatara! The park was a treat and the bird/nature show was informative and entertaining so it appeals to adults and children over 5yr. The presentation was clearly given by those who love their cause. The park is small and you get a guided head set and map so you can go at your...

We do try to make the park be an experience that is enjoyed by all ages. Our staff are all very passionate about conservation and all of the conservation work we do here at the park is funded by admission fees, donations, sponsorship and a portion of souvenir sales so thanks for supporting us!
