We enjoyed our first taste of Gibbston Valley Reisling in Arrowtown. It was so nice we visited the winery the next day to taste some more. A very pleasant few hours was spent in the restaurant tasting various wines with a plate of their cheeses. We didn't eat in the restaurant but the menu and the food looked delicious. The... More

The winery was a bit small, the tour was ok. But the wine was great. The staff was nice, enjoyed by experience.

The staff was very rude and tried to rush us out. The cheese was great, however the wine was very commercial and most of it was not drinkable. Skip this place!

We took a tour with Queenstown Wine Trail, booked their “original tour” and Gibbston Valley winery, the winner of several awards for their amazing Pinot Noirs was the first stop. Our guide took us into their Pinot Noir vineyard explaining the nuances of their viticultural environment. Next stop was in their cellar – a man made “cave” drilled into the... More

The winery is stunning & what I would expect of a great New Zealad winery - it has a little cafe on site, a cheese factory, a beautiful little courtyard, they even do combined wine & chocolate tasting, they offer wine tours but we just missed the last one. However... the staff we rude - we were forced into taking... More

My friend and I went to Gibbston without knowing what to expect except we'd heard they have good wine. It is a beautiful winery! Its more of what I expected from a winery than all the others we visited while in NZ. This is due to a comparison from Napa/Sonoma. They have a very nice Cheesery where we got a... More

Wine tour ($15 pp) had all the potential of being interesting and fun, but Aaron (he could have been having an 'off' day) was disinterested and couldn't get rid of the tour group fast enough. As a kiwi who has been to wineries in NZ, Australia, and America... I was disappointed because the potential was there to be a great... More

Our group came to the winery for an afternoon snack/antipasta plate - delicious! Then we enjoyed a walk in the vineyard and tasting in the cellar. The wait staff were good and fun. I'd definitely return.

We did the wine tour and tasting in the cave, very interesting and informative. There is also a cheesery and gift shop. We arrived too late to try the restuarant, but would make a good stop off for lunch and a sampling of one of the excellent wines.

Duty Manager Simon spent a great deal of time with us and explained every thing in details. Helped in picking up Moscato, which my wife really liked it. Pinot noirI tasting was also very good. It is a small winery and produce small quantities of Moscato, so you may have to pay a bit more but you would love the... More
