Take a trip on the old restore steamer, now 100 years old over to the Walter Peak Farm. We took the "heritage" option which gives an interesting insight into the determination of early settlers and an opportunity to look around the property. More

This trip was a real eye opener - I thought a farm show 'big deal' but it was excellent. You start the trip with a leisurely cruise across lake Wakatipu on the TSS Earnslaw to Walter Peak Station. On arrival if you have opted for the Farm Show you are taken to the shearing shed and told all about different... More

Going to Queenstown??? Make sure you go on the twin steam engined TSS Earnslaw. What a relaxing way of getting round. Firstly, check boat departures, and be there on time. No use waving it good-bye. The overnight cruise is a relaxing way to learn. Everyone along the way was very knowledgeable and friendly. Most of our New Zealand trip was active and hurried. This was a nice leasurely trip. The Fjords are amazing. The history of the area was very interesting. The food was excellent and plentiful. More
