Grab an old row boat or kayak for a leisurely row up and down the Avon river. You'll have to be careful not to bonk the heads of the many mallard,scaup and paradise ducks who seem to thrive with the human company. More

Go late and you have the river to yourself. We left to boat sheds at 17.30 and had a very relaxing Punt up and down the Avon without a single other boat or canoeist to spoil the peacefulness. More
