No where, not even in Napa, is there so much great wine in such a small area. One needs several days to get a taste of all the exceelent wines and wineries.

The Marlborough region is one of the most beautiful places you will ever visit. Miles and miles of vineyards with tastings and food to delight every palate. A wonderful spot to position yourself and take day trips to the Picton and the Marlborough sounds.

Had an afternoon tour for around £30 per adult when staying in Picton. Guide/driver very good and we were able to choose the 5 vinyards we wanted to visit when we booked. Got all bar one. Had a lovely time at the Brancott Estate, really nice place with a gorgeous restaurant looking out over the vineyards. The food was delicous as was the wine. Was a fan of the sauvignon blanc, pinot grigio and there is one they call bubbles which is lovely. Really nice chilled afternoon

Our guide was very informative and visited the wineries that we asked him too (except for Cloudy Bay, which we visited on our own the next day)

All the vineyard cellar doors I visited were amazingly friendly and generous with wine tastings for which I was never charged. Was also able to ramp up my vino knowledge a tad. A great vineyard touir best dsone on a bicycle from Blenheim or Renwick.
