The Zoo on the whole is quite small with very limited animals (mostly rescued animals). We visited this Wildlife park only for the thrilling Lion-Encounter it offers. Having visited numerous wildlife parks and zoos throughout New Zealand recently, I have enjoyed others much more. A bit scuffy in places. It was poorly signposted and without a site map, you would miss seeing some things (due to size of place). More

Thought the price was good, given you are likely to spend at least 4 hours. Would suggest you pick which animals you want to see being fed and build your trip around those feeding times. More

Although a little pricey for entry this park was well equipped with eateries and a free bus tour around the park which I really enjoyed. A wide variety of animals and lots of information too.
