Wellington has a great feel about it and this bridge encapsulates that feeling perfectly. Who would have thought crossing the road on an overbridge could be such a great experience! The bridge is a real work of art and the views in both directions (to the harbour on one side and the city on the other) are fantastic. More

Nice view of the inner city. Nce access to the waterfront (or central city). Both destinations are worth it. More

a lovely way to get from the city to the foreshore and all it holds. Just the right crossing place for the Macs brewery too. More

Looks a lot better now they have gussied up the sculptures, and a nice way to get across the busy road that divides the city from the waterside. More

nice to see a creative interesting bridge instead of the usual bog standard concrete type, thought it was part of civic square though. Good fun way to link the public spaces. More

not so hot but it links civic square with frank kitts park. civic square is great with the city gallery and clarks cafe in the library frank kitts is a bit old now. More

The City to Sea Bridge is a pedestrian bridge with a seriously big and, sure, pretty funky timber/found object sculpture built around it. It links Civic Square, a large public plaza that's really only worth visiting for the City Art Gallery and its cafe, Nikau, and the waterfront - which is definitely worth a walk on a good day. More

Depending on the time of day and weather, you'll see a bunch of people hanging out here or walking around. It also has a fantastic view. More

The bridge is almost an extension of Civic Square, with the wide steps and broad path over the bridge, including some lawns off to the side, as inviting as the Square itself.
