I really enjoyed hiking from Wellington up Mt. Victoria. During the hike you see great views of Wellington. When you reach the lookout, you can see the entire bay. It's a must see

its' a few years since i was last in Wellington and i had promised myself that i would definiately do Mt Victoria next time i came to town , such beauty with its 360 views , and well worth the walk

Have been up Mt Vic twice during International Arts Festival - once there was a perfomrnace of street theatre woith some very weird animals and scarey dog-hyena creatures and the next time an awesome band playing off a scaffold ... Great part of this fun diverse city

The view at anytime would be fantastic but at night it is magical. Would suggest you take a jacket as it was windy. If you can go at night the lights, planes etc are so worth the effort.

The best view of Wellington! You can see the airport, Kilbirnie and Miramar to the south and the city, the Hutt motorway snaking along the harbour edge, the Hutt valley and the Wainuiomata hill the other way. Especially pretty at night.

unobstructed views in every direction. You can choose to walk from several starting points or drive up and walk from there.

Really, really windy. Is amazing the force of mother nature. Heavy winds at the top in the day I went there. You can have a clear view of the city.

No other place in Wellington provides such sweeping panaroma's of Wellington. From Cook Strait to the airport - the ranges, harbour and downtown. It's pretty windy up there so always take a jacket.

Amazing views from the top. We had a bright, clear day and the view couldn't have been better. We drove to the top and found it well signposted from the city centre.
