What a great idea, and well maintained. 6 kms total length, but you don't have to do it all. We parked at Puke Ariki, crossed the rail tracks and did a little wander which was great. Weather was great whilst we were there, but high winds are well known here, so be warned unless you're built tough like the locals! More

The breakwater dam is nice but not a part of the walkway. Anyhow it is not the nicest part of the walkway. More

Come to New Plymouth, experience the wonderful coastal walkway. Starts at The lee breakwater and goes all the way out to Bell Block over the award winning Te Rewa Rewa bridge, fabulous views and beaches to stop at and have a swim along the way More

What a brilliant asset to the city.As visitors to New Plymouth we are constantly amazed by this walkway. The view are constantly changing according to the weather patterns. A must to view. More
