We saw these falls from a 'Daryl's dinner cruise' boat. We were taken to the base of the floodlit falls. They are gorgeous. Well worth a trip.

We were fortunate enough to visit the falls after a heavy rainfall and even though they're not tall... there was a power of water going over them. And you can get up close and personal

We were looking at them at the resort, our friend absolutely loved the haruru falls, that she took lots of photos of them.

It's ok I guess. I think I've been spoilt by seeing some waterfalls overseas but I can appreciate it for what it is. The walk through the native bush looks great.

Although not the tallest falls we saw in NZ these falls were still impressive and there is a great river walk to go with it .

I'm pretty much a sucker for waterfalls anywhere/anytime, but was disappointed with Haruru Falls. They are not very spectacular to begin with, but are diminished considerably by the fact that the background is of residences lining the river upstream--not the natural setting that I prefer. I would recommend going to Rainbow Falls over in Kerikeri or hiking back to Charlie's...

Quite a small waterfall.
Worth a look if you are in the area ....but not worth driving a long way to visit.
