They picked us up from our accommodation and drove us to Kerikeri airport. There we boarded a small plane with seven others. We flew up the west, to a grass airstrip on private property, to meet an air conditioned van. We were driven up to th Cape, where we had plenty of time to walk to the lighthouse. After morning... Hi Lynley, thanks again for another great review. Glad you had a great day with us up in Cape Reinga, flying sure does beat that long drive up there doesn't it. Cheers from the Salt Air Team More

I organised this tour for a surprise birthday present - it was fantastic. We only had two full days without travel in the Northland so this tour is a must when short of time. If you can afford the extra cost dont bother sitting on a bus for 6 hours. What you see is second to none. The staff are... More

.,... to write a review? I have just read previous reviews for Salt Air and agree absolutely with everything that has been said - if I missed a bad comment - I don't agree with that! I had not really considered a helicopter trip out to the islands and we have been to Paihia many times before - in our... More

Brilliant. The Pilot was an excellent guide, telling us all about the countryside as we flew up 90 Mile Beach, and then about all the islands in the Bay of Islands before coming in to land at KeriKeri. We were so glad to have opted to fly instead of going up by coach . More

What a fantastic experience , this is by far one of the best personal experience I've had. My husband and I did the heli/island , boat cruise and was money well worth spend. Our tour guide "Sean" was very informative and we had a great time chatting about the area and fishing. We were dropped off on a beautiful Island... More

My partner and i went on a Helicpoter ride and this was money well spent. We both enjoyed the ride and the pilot was very nice and friendly. More

We were on a conducted tour of NZ, part of which included a bus tour to Cape Reinga that would have taken all day. However, to save time in order to meet a friend, and for a different experience, we decided to pay for the SaltAir Cape Reinga Fly/Drive tour on our own. It was a fantastic experience. In addition... I did a heli-cruise-heli tour with Salt Air in early January 2012, during which I proposed to my girlfriend. I picked this tour because I wanted the day to be both romantic and very memorable. I'd briefed the folks at Salt Air regarding the mission, so they were a big help picking a suitable destination and organising a picnic lunch... More

We did the plane trip - same itinerary as the other reviews and yes it is as good as they say. The organisation is spot on and the care and attention second to none. Like others I was as sick as a dog both on the way out and the return but it was so worth it I would go... More

We went on our first helicopter flight over the Bay of Islands. We took off and landed from a floating landing pad near one of the islands. Crystal clear waters and clear blue skies made it an awesome trip. More

Yes our floating heli pad based amongst the islands is a real highlight for those who get to land on it. Great to know we helped with your bucket list achievement - hope you have plenty more planned! More
