The Parnell Rose Gardens at the bottom of Gladstone Rd Parnell, is close to where the container wharfs are and quite close to Downtown Auckland. It is worth a look if you are a rose enthusiast. As nice a small rosary as I've seen anywhere. Lots of varieties, good labels, and several varieties I've not seen elsewhere. Peculiar to the southern hemisphere, I guess. It's the best free thing in Auckland, in my opinion. More

Across the way from a stunning little coffee shop which is great for breakfast, then wend your way through the gardens (which are gorgeous) to the water's edge. More
