Though is the main attractin in the city, we didn't go up as we had just enjoyed the city views from Devonport. We did explore the shops and casino. Like the rest of NZ, the staff were really nice and a nice Indian origin cashier spent the extra time givinf us travel tips around the country. Also I won some... More

Its such a shame its not an open top viewing area for photographing but the views are lovely. We went at sunset so got the best of both day and night views. We had pre booked months in advance The Orbit restaurant and the meal was amazing. There are an inner and outer row of tables and we were initially... More

Lucky enough to have a beautiful sunny day which made the 360 degree views spectacular. Awesome watching the bungy jumping right in front of you, made you feel like you were part of it. Family loved standing on the glass floor tiles looking down at the streets and people below. Well worth the visit.

Skytower is a bit expensive, but the views over Auckland are excellent. We spent a few hours on the upper and lower viewing platforms and watched the boats in the harbour and the general business of a city as Auckland carried through it's day. Although not game to do a sky walk or a sky jump, it was interesting to... More

We couldn't get into the revolving restaurant but the one underneath turned out to be better - HUGE buffet and very yummy food for everyone. Highly recommended

Skytower is expensive and not really worth a special trip - there are plenty of free vantage points in Auckland, Mt Eden, Bastion Point that have good views. Don't waste your money. Skytower offers the Skywalk and Skyjump but in my opinion there are better adventure sports/jumping off things opportunities in NZ - opt for a bungy or ledge swing... More

Great place and amazing views. I loved the glass floors and the massive windows - well worth going all the way to the top. So good I went for sun up and sun down.

View is fantastic. Jump off the top for the thrill of a lifetime. View wow! Look over the amazing Waitamata. Watch the ferries leave for Waiheke Island. Look on the ant like figures below. See the city spread out before you.

If you're travelling through get backpacker discount (ID such as YHA card required) and go up for $18 rather than $28. The Southern Hemispheres tallest building at 328m though the sky deck is only 220m Not much information up there apart from facts about the solar system? The view is pretty great though, especially at sunset.

Seems everyone who visits Auckland try to take a short trip to the observation deck of this iconic tower, it was too crowded at the time we were there. The best time to be impressed by the beauty of Auckland is around the sunset! Amazing!
