People always seem to tell tourists that Cotesloe is the best beach in Perth which i dont understand because it is full of rocks and thousand of people. Trigg Beach is white sands, hardly any rocks and has a nice break for surfing. There is also a beautiful park right on the beach that is great for kids an BBQ's

Popular surf spot for local grommets and veterans alike. You have gotta be early on a good day to get a spot though!

Really nice beach, we dressed up in wetsuits and went bodyboarding for about an hour. Great waves and the water wasn't too cold. There were lots of surfers farther out, and the beach patrol drove around behind us. The weather was overcast, but still a nice day for the beach. If it was this nice in May, it's probably much... Trigg beach in the morning is great for a swim but like all our beaches in the west bit choppy and rough in the afternoon. Nice cafe there and always something to watch on the beach or the Ocean... Beware.... "Swim between the flags as strong rip and tides...

I was sad to hear that the Trigg Island Cafe had changed hands as it has been our favourite restaurant in Perth's western suburbs for many years. It is still fabulous place to walk, and being close sorrento etc, there are many cafe's to chose from.

If your want amazing waves and long white sandy beach away from the crowds Trig is the beach for you. One of the top surfing beaches in Perth, if your an experience surfer or just taking up the board for the first time. But even if your not in to surfing its slightly north of Perth and because of the... More

Another beautiful beach that's one of the best metropolitan surfing beaches in the world. The good thing about Trigg is you've got white sandy beaches to Scarborough to the south and beautiful sheltered beaches with rocky headlands to the north.

I prefer Trigg beach to the likes of Cottesloe or Scarborough as Trigg's more out of the way and is therefore a lot quieter. There is no shade on the beach though so bring an umbrella if you wish to spend some time there. There is plenty of parking + the main entrance has a reserve with public BBQ's, sand... More

Like most beaches in Perth Trigg is another however my rating is based on the roughness. I find a lot of the northern beaches to be quite rough as they dont have the coastal protection the southern beaches have. In saying that they are all popular with families, body surfers alike. Take the unbrella as there is no shade.
