Originally cast in the 13th century and recast in the 16th and 18th centuries, they were rung at the homecoming of James Cook after his voyage of discovery in 1771, after the Battle of El Alamein in 1942 and at the coronation of every British monach since George II in 1727. « less

Developed over a decade ago to house the bells of St Martins-in-the-Field donated to WA years ago, it is an underwhelming bell-tower that missed an opportunity to be great. Unless you are passionately into bell ringing, it can safely be omitted from the list of things to see and do around Perth. More

The surrounding area is a nice walk and it is located near the Barrack Street Jetty where you can get the ferry across the river to South Perth and the Zoo. You can pay to enter the... More

As a Perth landmark, not very impressive ... surely we can think bigger than this! A quick walkpast as you get on the Fremantle or Rottnest ferries is enough. More

Definitely worth a trip down there for a photo. Take a river cruise whilst you are there and stop for lunch or dinner at one of the lovely restaurants overlooking the Swan River and South Perth. It does cost to go up but it is free to get a photo of it. There is also a stop for the CAT... More

Went for a friend's 50th, held on the top level - lovely evening for everyone. Also a good place to visit in the day, to see and hear the history of the bells. More
