this is a really nice little zoo. the highlight exhibits were the lions, the tigers, the koalas, tree kangaroos, numbats, tazmanian devil and orangutan. More importantly, its a well laid out, nicely interactive, and quite a variety of animals. Especially the australian animal exhibit...the only thing missing was a platypus.

Great personal experiences if you take the time to enjoy the visit. Best enjoyed over multiple visits with a Zoo Friends membership (especially with young kids). Especially loved the Nocturnal House this last visit. The elephant takes her daily walk around the zoo at lunch time, this is always an awesome experience watching the gentle giant walk right past. Having travelled to many zoos in the world, including Singapore, San Diego and a number of Australian ones, I have formed the opinion that Perth Zoo is clearly one of international standards and first class. The animals have freedom, the viewing is great and no cages means no cruelty.

Took our niece and nephew here for a day out and had a really great day. Well worth it. The kids loved all the animals, especially the penguins. Liked the vending machines that were all around the zoo for drinks and snacks, very conveniate.

Perth Zoo is small by global standards, but there is a great array of both native Australian fauna and the expected global breeds. Elephant, lion, cheetah, rhino and terrific aviaries. The penguin display is great and terrific for young children.

Holidays were full of kids running around and as we dont have children we should of picked a better time but we still enjoyed our day and managed to see what we wanted too. Food is way overpriced there so pack a picnic and a water bottle. Tidy, well kept zoo!!

i did go there along time ago, but when i went, everything was neat and tidy, the food was yummy, the prices for everything were reasonable and the best part was that when you went round to each animal they look happy and well feed / looked after. there is play grounds for kids also which is good for families

No one can resist the cute animals you always see in a zoo and Perth zoo is no different. A great way to get to the zoo is by ferry from Barrack Square jetty to South Perth and walk the short distance to the entry. A great day out for the family anytime.

Sons Birthday we decided to go to the Perth Zoo. Food and cake in hand we set out on our trip. Considering it opens at 9 we got there at 8.30 and there was a very large line. It took us ages to get a parking near by as the carparks were full to capasity. Was really annoying. Grass area... More
