The cruise was completely spoilt by the absolute rubbish that came out of the captain. We had to ask him to stop the political views he was pushing as we were there for the cruise not to be harrassed. He very obviously has an axe to grind with the WA government but unfortunately he is an embarrassment when there are... More

The river is such a lovely place to drive/walk around. Lots of different activity happening which never gets boring. Lots of shops if you feel you must but plenty of everything else as well.

The swan river is the pride of Perth. The river looks excellent always, but worth sitting on the shore in the evenings, especially during sunset. The setting sun adds to its beauty. An early morning stroll along the river (near langly park) is worth millions, especially when you will see a silent dolphin swimming along the shore. The ambience and... More

I travelled to Freemantle via Train/bus ($4) one way and returned via Captain Cook cruise ($27) the other. Cruise ships are 2 sizes. I was in the smaller one, but still good views, excellent commentary, stopped to watch dolphins play. Seating ok rather than comfortable and limited bar /food options. A good way to see some beautiful and expensive areas... More

I have been to swan river lots of times and it is beautiful. I have been walking by and seen dolphins jumping out of the water, I even saw that once at a restaurant located on the water. You can look into the water and see jellyfish and other little fish, and there's always birds and other wildlife nearby. It's... More
