Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have been a volunteer narrator with Queensland Narrating Service for almost 15 years, and during this time I have narrated over 130 books for the vision impaired and handicapped. I have narrated many books published by Magabala Books and found to be of extremely high quality with a great variety of genres.

Located right opposite the Broome Visitor Centre, this shop is run by indigenous people, and sells books they publish themselves, on indigenous customs, art, lifestyle etc, as well as a range of childrens' books and some lovely textiles with woodblock prints made by a local aboriginal womens co-operative. Prices are very fair and the staff are friendly and helpful.

I have been purchasing Magabala books now for 2 and a half years, I love the fact that all books are written and illustrated by Indigenous Australians whom are keeping their culture strong and true by creating such wonderful stories and artwork to share with all ages. I always eagerly await new titles that come through and mention many of your titles to teachers in my networks to read and buy. I wish you all the best for your continued success

A wonderful place to visit. A small retail area, but laden with so many beautiful books. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, especially talking about the books with the staff, who also recommended other local spots to visit. A small working publishing house that works at a grass roots level, producing award winning books for the local, national and international markets. I would highly recommend that you put this on the itinerary. Even if it was to see the work being produced on the shelves.
