Excellent in shopping, people watching, coffee and transport. A definite Melbourne must. Be wary of the odd beggar. Very highly recommended.

Visit this part of Melbourne, and see for yourself why it's Australia's fashion capital. Department giant David Jones even has separate stores for men and women. Men, we recommend the Anthony Squires suit section at DJs. Look for Daree. He greeted us, gave us tremendous service and therefore sold several suits, shirts and ties! Whether prowling the department stores or...

We found a lot of shops that we loved in this mall, we also found the great food court which was very convenient and had a lovely cupcake shop in it. Some lovely quaint shops too.
From all my travels this could be one of the easiest malls to navigate with Bourke Street Mall being connected to Myer offering 7 floors of shopping complete with cafes. Myer is also connected to David Jones, while also being connected via a walkway to Melbourne Central which is the biggest shopping centre within the city.

As a proud Melburnian who has lived her whole life here, I have nothing but good things to say about out fair city. Whether you love to shop, love to explore or simply like to sit and watch the world go by there is no better place to do so than the Bourke Street Mall & Melbourne Central areas. Bourke...

A trip to the city is not complete without checking out the Bourke St Mall. I love to see what buskers are there. Always contribute to the good ones. They need to be encouraged! If you are a tourist make sure you wander down the lanes ways and arcades. Great place to start a serious shopping spree.
Just another shopping area. Prices the same as every where in Melbourne. It's great that cars can't come through, but watch those trams. Get on one, it's heaps better than looking at more of the same shops.
A very busy place where trams pass through right down the middle. There is an interesting mix of shops, departmental stores, and cafes on all sides. Really the heart of Melbourne. Also a wonderful place to people watch.
Great hustle and bustle of shoppers in the CBD. Shops and restaurants everywhere and a tram service right in the middle of it all for easy commuting. Plenty of laneways to connect from one street to another.
