I love the Dandenong Ranges, it's such a pretty place to drive or take a train tour. I think it's a must if you are visiting Melbourne. The little country towns nestled within are beautiful to visit and have brunch or lunch in too.

Lovely picturesque place to visit. Plenty of little towns with shops to stop at and browse as well as coffee shops, restaurants and pubs. Most enjoyable place to visit with lots of different things to see and visit. Lots of lovely cafes and restaurants. Rhododendrom Gardens at Olinda. Tesslars Tulip Farm in October is worth a visit.

The National Rhododendron Gardens in Olinda are unusual and very beautiful if you go at that right time of the year. Otherwise the Dandenongs will probably seem overrated to anyone who's familiar with the wet forests of northern Australia or Tasmania.

A nice place to go to get away from the city/suburbs. Driving windy roads dwarfed by tall beautiful trees giving lovely cool shade and lots of little hidden villages to explore along the way. Great place to view Melbourne city at sunset and watch the city lights go on.

Even under the rain we enjoyed our little walk in there, beautiful water falls and huge trees, birds to hear and see.

What a great ride this was the bus trip up to the Dandenongs and then the train ride, morning tea and trip back to the city, well worth it

Come and see the towering Mountain Ash Eucalypts, there is also a diverse range of bush walks and things to see and do, the view from Skyhigh is amazing
