Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We had a great day with Andrew exploring Wilson's Promontory. We went on a hike with fantastic views, the tidal river and Squeaky beach - all amazing stops throughout the day! Andrew gave us different options that we could choose from to make the day our own. Andrew's local knowledge about the area and his wildlife stories were excellent!
In addition to this we had a delicious breakfast at Moo's in Meeniyan en route to the National Park and lunch after the hike overlooking the river. The Prom is completely unspoilt and quieter than the Great Ocean road and Mornington Peninsula.
A brilliant day trip!
Would definitely recommend Great Southern Escape to tour the Prom, and I'm looking forward to their future plans to do some more trips to the Prom!

Melbourne weather has been unforgiving and unpredictable this year, so unfortunately we went on a day that was overcast, wet, foggy, and smoky. Yet Andrew was a delightful guide and we would highly recommend having him for your tour (just try your best to catch a sunny day!). Even still we really enjoyed seeing kangaroos in the wild (Andrew went out of his way to try and find wildlife for us), listening to the history of the land, and viewing a beautiful beach scenery, especially from Norman point.

Hi Naome
Yes I agree it was a pretty bland weather day which was quite dissapointing. I am please that you enjoyed seeing the kangaroos and your walk. Next time you are back in this part of the world get in touch with us and we will make you an offer to join our tour again that will be too good to refuse! And I will guarantee perfect weather :)

We had a wonderful day in Wilson Prom. Andrew picked us at 6.30 a.m. in St. Paul .His advice was the key to the succes of the day. He did the extra mile for us to see kangoroos and emus and for everything. In the morning at 11h we did the cruise(he phoned the Cruise company and we paid when we got there) and it was worth it. We saw seals and dolphins and the view were amazon. After it, Andrew was waiting for us, and offered us thee and sandwiches. Then Andrew showed us the way to the Squeaky beach and waited for us in the other side of the beach. We only regret not to have more days to stay here. There 're so many walks and the Prom it's so beautiful! Andrew is an extraordinary person, and we had interesting conversations about Australia in the way to and from Melbourne. We were lucky to have chosen him. What a wonderful day. THANKS again Andrew🤗😀🤗

Being locals ourselves, Wilson's Promontory was somewhere my partner and I had both been before. Andrew's expertise of the area, and fantastic touring skills, helped make the Promontory a place of unrealized beauty and spectacular sight seeing, the likes of which I had never before experienced. The trip was seamless, the meals delicious (even catering for my partner's coeliac requirements), and Andrew's stories were constantly fascinating. I would hands down do more with Great Southern Escapes, and am eager to see what Andrew has in store for the future! 5 stars, 10/10!!

I joined Andrew on a tour to Wilson's Promontory and it was one of my favourite days in Australia! We had a nice small group, the vehicle was comfortable, spotless and spacious. The included meals were delicious and locally sourced. Andrew never made us feel rushed, we took our time and had a leisurely day, but saw a lot! This is a stunning area! I'd highly recommend going as a day tour from Melbourne, and with Great Southern Escapes! An amazing day all-around!

We are a family with 2 young kids and wanted to stay at Prom overnight. This is the only one in the market providing shuttle service to Prom, others can only give you a day trip or not allowing young kids to join.
Staying overnight at Prom is the only way if you want to have a full encounter with Aussie Wildlife, we’ve met Kangaroos, Wallabies, Emus and lots of WOMBATS!
Andrew is very kind, as a local expert grown up there, he is very familiar with everything at Proms. He introduced some nice pathways which were well suited to my young kids and also brought us to places where animals usually gather around.
We really enjoyed this trip very much, highly recommend this to those who want to visit Proms in full!

Thankyou for the feedback Andrew. We are thrilled that you are encouraging people to stay a night or two as that is just what we would like for travellers to do. The wildlife encounters and the overall experience is just so much better when you have lots of time. It was a joy to see your children enjoying themselves so much in nature and we hope to see your family again some day. All the very best. Regards
Andrew

My husband and I did a winery tour of South Gippsland with Andrew today
It was an excellent tour visiting 3 small but very good wineries in the area. At each of the wineries we got to meet the owners to truly understand the wines and their passion
We stopped at Gippsland Wine Co, then Lucinda Estate followed by Waratah Hills Winery where we also had lunch - delicious charcuterie and cheese platter followed by lemon tart and brownies with ice cream
The tour was finished off with a stop at Loch Gin Distillery and Brewery for a gin tasting which was a nice way to finish the day
We had a very enjoyable day and recommend to anyone wishing for a different but exceptional wine experience

Wilson’s Promontory is a stunning region and the tour is a great way to visit it, particularly if you’re not willing to brave the driving on the “opposite” side of the road. Perfectly organized for small groups, with partnerships with local business for a delicious breakfast and lunch, attentive, knowledgeable and professional guide that highlights the gorgeousness of the places! Happy I did it, would definitely do it again!

I spent a wonderful day touring Wilson's Promontory National Park with Andy my tour guide. Andy was prompt and extremely courteous and helpful all day. He collected me from my hostel and drove me from Melbourne to the National Park 3 hours away. We stopped for coffee in a picturesque town en route (all part of the fee) and I would have even had a gourmet cake from a l renowned Australian cook for free had I not been on a diet!
The tour was really special: many people choose to do the Great Ocean Road tour and miss a national gem when overlooking this tour. Having done both tours I can implore you to choose Andy's tour of Wilson's Prom. The National Park is unspoilt and has countless awe-inspiring views from the many nature trails you can choose to hike. You won't be overrun with other tourists as they haven't cottoned on to this forgotten corner of Oz (yay!)). The different hikes keep giving more and more views...be prepared to use your camera all day as there are heavenly views you won't want to forget. The tour lasts from 7am.until 8pm allowing for a three hour drive either side.
Don't worry about food and drink as Andy has it covered: he prepared a gourmet salad with fresh meats and a gave me a thermos to enjoy a cup of tea from the most idyllic vantage point overlooking the Bass Strait.
If you are an active tourist who likes to get in and amongst nature then this is the tour for you. There are many walks to choose from and sea kayaking may be an option in the not too distant future. You are in safe hands with Andy who is easily the kindest and most knowledgeable tour guide I have ever met. Nothing is too big an ask and it is evident that he absolutely loves this unspoilt corner of wild Australia where you can see Koalas, wombats, kangaroos, snakes, whales and dolphins without someone ushering you along so that the next group of tourists can be bussed in. Don't delay; choose Wilson's Promontory National Park with Andy from Great Southern Escapes now and have the time or your life.
