What a wonderful way to spend 2 hours, informative and interesting. You'll cry, laugh and come away a lot more informed about the role of women in penal colony Australia and the very under rated Female Factory.
We all loved it, from the grandparents to the 6yr old. Beautiful scenery and even better storytellers.

You really get involved in this tour and learn so much about our history. I thought about the story for a long time after.

Heard about this tour on tripadvisor. Must agree with others. A great tour. The actors really get you immersed in the characters and times. Not really that much walking but you do stand for the 2 hours. We will bring the kids to see soon!

Wonderful walking play that takes you back to the beginning of Louisa's plight as a single Mum in London, and the unfolding of what happens to her as a convict sent to Hobart. Members of the tour are woven into the story, very emotive and a unique experience.

Spending an afternoon "living" Louisa's experience was much more interesting than seeing the buildings and reading about it. It was very moving and shocking to see and hear what it was like for her. We would highly recommend this experience to all who want to really understand what it was like for our convict ancestors.

tip for cruise passengers. Walk into the town center and buy a reduced rate bus pass for about $4.80. The bus...

A moving and detailed account of the time gone by in the Female Factory. The 2 actors drew us into the 18th century making us believe we were there. Highly recommended for anyone looking for some wonderful history of Van Deimon's Land's original colonists.
