We spend a couple of hours strolling Salamanca market on Saturday morning. It is good to go early when the crowds are limited and then go for breakfast in the area.

There's lots of galleries and shops and some decent cafes..... and on Saturday you are next to Salamanca Market. You could do a lot here in a small area.

There is always something new going on at the SAC (Salamanca Arts Centre) people here are qwirky and full of interesting looks on life etc!

We made sure that we would be in Hobart to experience the Salamance Arts. It's a great place to pick up locally made wood crafts and other arts that represent Tasmania.

These are a fun browse, with some clever felts and jewellery. Just can't imagine how they survive.

Salamanca Place merits a real stroll. It is charming. It has lots of good cafes and restaurants, history, galleries and shops. I would not miss this.
