Fabulous views of the city and Derwent River. Our visitors from England loved it. They especially enjoyed sitting in the restaurant in front of the window enjoying a lazy lunch and a laugh with the staff.

great views over the city of hobart and down the Derwnt ricer. Situated close to Hobart centre ,it has easy access and is a viable alternate to Mt Wellington ,especially when the Mt Wellington is cover by cloud.

I have never written any negative review on any restaurant. Until now. my wife and i arrived and could see three vacant tables inside. we asked if we could take a seat, to which the reply was, "sorry but those tables are for four people you will have to sit outside" so we went to place an order at the...

Lovely views overHobart and ideal when you want to take tourists but dont want to go all the way up Wellington (esp in lesser weather). Cafe is nice food but service and limited opening hours / menu make it less than it could be. Not much to do apart from look at the view (lovely) and eat / drink at...

We took our kids aged 12 and 14 up to the lookout by car on a quiet Monday morning. Unfortunately the cafe was closed. The view is really nice and we enjoyed reading about the signal station and walking around exploring the place.

Mount Nelson Lookout has one of the best and most interesting panoramic views in the world. The cafe is appalling. Visitors are greeted with a row of dustbins, often overflowing. The cafe should be a little goldmine in that location, but the offerings are ordinary and the service woeful.

This lookout is just off the main road has a big car park a cafe and stunning views of hobart. There is a signal cottage with history inside very interesting and best thing i didn't have to walk anywhere it was right in front of me. Well worth stopping for

Very easy to find from either end.
Nice view but also a hut with great historical explanations.
The cafe also looked good and would be a nice lunch trip on a fine day.
Go for it..
