the Theatre Royal has been going strong over 100 years. It is a beautifully restored theatre and has an active and varied program of theatre, comedy, musicals, opera, magicians etc. Worth going there for the surrounds alone. If my memory serves me correctly, this is the oldest continual working theatre in the southern hemisphere. What old world charm it has. The audio in here is excellant. One can only hope that it is not lost to a more modern building. More

An amazing accoustically sound theatre. A lovely building to look at, repairs seem to have kept the grandure of some of Australia's old theatres. Well worth a visit, just to look at the inside. More
