I was taken here in 1995 by a romantic interest who'd brought me down to Hobart from Melbourne and showed me round the various historical attractions in Hobart and surrounds in a very sweet and dear way and we climbed the tower with his best friend. I'd never been back and so made the pilgrimage when I was there last...

The Shot Tower is worth a visit to climb the twisting staircase to the top. There are good views from the top. You can learn and see how shot was made.

We have been regular visitors over the past 22 years. Dianne and Rod run this business, they have kept costs down, so families can enjoy some history without an expensive price tag. The big climb up, is all worth the great views. After the the climb enjoy home made treats, scones with a great selection of jams with real whipped...

The view from the top up the Derwent River is well worth the climb

This attraction holds an interesting piece of history and is worth the visit for the $7 entry fee. We had great fun counting the steps and marvelling at the sheer height of the tower. Fantastic view too!

They show you a video at the beginning before you walk up. Theres quite a nice view of the hills across the river. They have...
