Battery Point is one of the oldest suburbs in Hobart and well worth wandering around in. It is not far from the main Salamanca Place area. The Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania is located on the far side of the area. The Shipwrights Arms pub is a favoured watering hole for yachties and home to much Sydney to Hobart memorabilia. More

There is lots to see as you walk around this historic area. Well worth taking a detour to Battery point, but make sure you walk around and don't drive. That way you will see more. More
