Tasting the raw ingredients was interesting and not knowing how chocolate is made gave value to the presentation. Paid $7 for a dairy milk block and 2 fun size chocs, and access to the discount shop. Discount shop ok. Souvenirs expensive. A viewing platform would be good if no tour. More

If you want your children to moan and whinge for days then this is the tour for you, after paying your entrance fee you get 1 bar of chocolate, a “freddo” and that’s it. The tour is very disappointing, all you see is machines and lots of chocolate being made, however no samples. Gone are the days of filling up... More

Have to pay AUD7.5 per head to get in, but what you get in return is a chocolate bar, 2 chocolate sample and Freddo. The visitor centre is small with nothing worth to buy/ see, the presentation is outdated and boring (with a presenter and a SILENT video behind), no factory touring at all, the so called best hot chocolate... Gone are the good old days when a tour of the factory meant a tour of the factory. Now you pay to watch a video. If you want to go just to their gift shop you cant unless you pay the entry fee. What a joke it is the only place i know you have to pay to go and... More

They stopped doing tours a few years ago, which is really disappointing. We only found that out after the visit, which turned out to be only a short, roughly 20 minute, presentation and a silent video of how the chocolate is made. The chocolate shop however, gave pretty good discounts. Wonder if they'll ever do the tours again... More

If you love chocolate you will love this. Informative talk and video about how chocolate is made, too bad you cannot go through the factory. Cheap chocolate. Must try the hot chocolate and muffins More

If you have an interest in or enjoy chocolate, then you will find the visit to the Cadbury Chocolate Factory well worth your time. The entry fee also includes an informative presentation on how chocolate is made and processed at the Hobart facility. But the real highlight of the visit is access to the Cadbury chocolate shop which has an... More
