I had to visit Tasmania three times before I was able to see this wonderful ,remote part of Tasmania. The trip is subject to the vagueries of the wind and low cloud coverage. You start at Cambridge Airport and the transport is by small plane where you communicate by microphone to one another. The flight took me down the Derwent River, past Bruny... The view from the plane was awesome and then the trip just kept getting better. After seeing the endangered Orange-Bellied Parrots up close and checking out the home of Denny King, pioneer of this area, we headed off on a boat trip down the Melaleuca Inlet into Bathurst Harbour stopping to tow a stranded yacht to deeper water on the... My wife andi did this on one of those terrible weather days you can have at times. But the day was brilliant, cruising around the harbor, flying up the coast. Great commentary, friendly operators. What we liked most was just the complete sense of remoteness. Brilliant More

We scheduled this trip from the U.S. and fortunately the weather co-operated when we arrived in Hobart. Our pilot and guide for the day was Stewart and he was excellent! It turned out that although our plane would seat at least 8 or 10 people, there were only 4 of us so we had plenty of room to see the... More

we recently booked a flight for our team (10) it was a christmas function, team experience and farewell for one our beloved team members. It was a surprise for our team, they were told to turn up at 8.30 at the cambridge aerodrome.no idea of what was to come... what an experience. 8 of the team boarded a small aircraft,... More

This trip is one that you will NEVER forget. The flight to Melaleuca followed the east and south coasts of Tasmania which was amazing to see from the air. Flying into isolated Melaleuca is equally amazing. No phone reception, no cars, no large crowds..... just you and nature. The boat trip on the harbour is spectacular. The size of it... More

We took this tour in late January. Our original departure time was postponed due to bad weather but we took the tour the next day in perfect weather, barely no wind and clear blue skies. The tour started with a 50 minute flight from Cambridge to Melaleuca in a small 10-seater plane. Thomas, our pilot/guide gave commentary along the trip,... More

This is a little airline which offers several kinds of day trips out of their aerodrome next to Hobart airport. I've taken the Bathurst harbor day tour. They pick you up at your accommodation in Hobart (or you can drive yourself if you like) to their aerodrome, then a 50 min flight in one of the tiny aircrafts to the... More

Thanks for the review - you'll be happy to hear that a new walking track has just built at Meleleuca, allowing more opportunities for walking in the area. Also our full day tour (Day in the Wilderness) certainly has the opportunity for walking if customers would like that, however if you'd rather sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenary with... More
