The site is just a boundary of stone and brick walls. There is a small gift shop on site. Okay for a look if you have nothing else to do. If you decide to do Louisa's Walk you come here as part of the tour.

Was not able to obtain tickets for Louisa's Walk because of short notice, but was very impressed with the alternate performance held at 11 AM in the main yard of the first factory which told the story of Prisoner #71 from the time she arrived until she was finally released. The two actors that performed made the experience for all...

We went to the female factory, Her Story as Louisa's Walk was booked out. A well presented talking exhibit, well acted and definitely puts you there. I believe the presentation is in its' infancy and is an alternative to LW. Without the acting there is little to see but on a miserable drizzly day that we had really gives you...

This was so much better than reading signs...

We toured the female factory now a historic heritage site if interested in the perspective of female convicts. We did this as part of Louisa's walk which i would very highly recommend doing. It is a great reenactment and strolling theatre by 2 very talented individuals.

The stories and hard facts are delivered in a truly fantastic, informative, moving ( I was holding back the tears) way. The stories were finished always on the positive by the guide.We...
